Have you ever wondered… “Is there more to this life with God than what I am experiencing?” “Am I just scraping the surface of the Christian life?” Emerging Journey is helping people answer these questions. Throughout the RCA lives are being changed by this eight-month discipleship and spiritual formation process.
What is Emerging Journey? It’s a walk with a group of people discovering who God is, who they are and what God desires to do through them. This small group is led by a trained facilitator; it meets weekly and shares life, learning and experiences throughout the eight months.
After completion of the first year, The Emerging Journey participants have the option to move on to the second year of leadership skill formation (Equipping) and the third year of developing others (Enriching). The Equipping Year is for disciples who reflect leadership potential as laity or who are desiring to confirm their call to ministry. The Enriching Year is for ongoing development of disciples already engaged in vocational ministries, who desire to sharpen their focus in order to become a leader of leaders and to finish well in a lifetime of service.
